Miguel de Unamuno was a Spanish writer who lived between the end of the 19th century and the begining of the 20th century, inluenced by the German Existencialism. One of his main pieces was San Manuel Bueno, mártir, wich is about the fight that took place inside him for all his life: the struggle between his need to believe in God to overcome the overwhelming existence that existencialism offers and his reason, wich avoids him from believing (it doesn't happen in my case). He writes about living in an awful and real world or in an "idyllic" and nice world ("let them dream happy") and in an idirect way asks "wich is the best way of living", and this is a really difficult question because the two options are inside of the "human goals" in this life. I don't have that problem as my faith doesn't avoid me from using my reason and looking for other options of existence or living but, isn't it interesting??
